Natalie Sabelnik has been on the Executive Board of Directors of the Congress of Russian Americans since 2000, and President of CRA since 2009.  Born in Shanghai, China of 2nd generation Russian refuges, her family emigrated to the U.S. when she was 3 years old.  She graduated from the SF School of Russian Language and SFSU, majoring in business administration and psychology.  After 25 years of working for Chevron USA in Marketing, Chevron Overseas Petroleum with the Kazakhstan project and for Chevron International Oil Co. as Marketing Manager & Commercial Director for East Russia, she took early retirement.  She worked for the US State Department’s Russia program at the Office of Int’l Programs at SFSU for sponsoring training for Russian business managers and professionals, as well as consultant to various organizations working with Russia. She also worked for the Russian Federation Chamber of Commerce & Industry as Programs Manager. She had been a member of the Holy Virgin Cathedral Choir for over 35 years and is an active member of the Russian American community.  She has been a member of the Coordinating Council of Russian Compatriots of the US since 2008. Currently she is the Chair of the Coordinating Council of Russian Compatriots of the USA.

Elena Branson is the Vice-Chair of the Coordinating Council of Russian Compatriots of the USA. She is also the founder and president of Russian Center New York. Born in Moscow, Elena received a Ph.D. in mathematics from Lomonosov Moscow State University and studied finance in the master’s program at the Imperial College in London. She has worked in several investment banks and hedge funds in New York and London, including Bankers Trust and Hasenbichler Asset Management, and was a research fellow at the Central Bank of Brazil and the Hong Kong Institute for Monetary Research. Elena currently resides in New York City.

Sophia Grinblat

Sophia Grinblat was born in Vinnitsa, Ukraine. She graduated from Polytechnic Institute as a civil/structural engineer. Sophia with her family (husband and two kids) moved to the United States in 1990. Since then, during 10 years she worked as a civil/structural and pipe stress analysis engineer in Houston, Texas. In 2000 she started publishing Russian newspaper “Our Texas” as a hobby. In two years she quit her main job. In 2003 she founded the Russian Cultural Center “Our Texas”.

Since the creation in 2003, RCC has grown from a personal dream of Sophia Grinblat, into a dynamic team of board members dedicated to bringing diverse Russian cultural events to Texas. In 2007, RCC opened a venue in the heart of the Houston Museum District area, which serves as a refuge for local art lovers, exhibition space, workshop classroom, concert hall and film screening site. She is a member of the Coordinating Council since 2008.

Igor was born in 1983 in Leningrad (currently St. Petersburg). I graduated public school 328. In 2000, I enrolled at the St. Petersburg University of Information Technology Mechanics and Optics. During the course of my studies I founded and led the University Club of Parliamentary Debates, and published several scientific articles. In 2005, I graduated and received my degree in Operations Management with high honors. During my first year of post-graduate studies in 2006, I moved to the United States. In 2010 I organized and chaired the Youth Division of the American Parishes of the Moscow Patriarchate (Russian Orthodox Church). In 2014, I founded and chaired the Young Russian Society. Currently I hold the position of Production Director at American Christmas, Inc.

An author of 9 books, Laureate of Literary Awards; in 1972 Laureate of the Union of writers of USSR, and in 2013, in the Moscow magazine “Yunost” and the New York magazine “New Magazine”. Non-staff adviser to a number of Congressmen in the USA. Dr. Morgulis has met with numerous leaders of countries, including, five U.S. Presidents, and with Mikhail Gorbachev, Benjamin Netanyahu, Alexander Lukashenko and so on.
