Naperville and Chicago residents participate in the peaceful action called «I love Russia».
For the first time in Russian-American history, a peaceful action called “I love Russia” started in the United States. Fifteen American states take part in it, including New York, Texas, California, Florida, Washington, District of Columbia and Illinois. Naperville was among the first American towns that joined this action.
Everyone is invited to take part in this action that is dedicated to unite people around the world and demonstrate their friendship. Coordinating Council of Russian Compatriots of the USA organized this event that is meant to show the similarities between Russians and Americans and in general between people with different backgrounds and of different races and nationalities. There are about six million Russian-speaking people in the United States that are integrated in the American community. However, they still remember their roots and history and want to share it with their American friends and with people from other countries.
As part of this action, everyone is welcome to pose with a poster that says “I Love Russia” either in English or in Russian language and share it on social network. You are also welcome to share your images with Coordinating Council of Russian Compatriots of the USA by sending your photographs to [email protected]
The action is related to the Day of Russia that is celebrated on June 12. On that day, Russians organize different cultural events and activities to demonstrate and share their knowledge of Russian history, culture and traditions. Russian cuisine, Russian songs and dances will make these events unforgettable.
Enrich yourself by joining this peaceful action, learn about Russia and its people, touch Russian history, culture and traditions and share your knowledge with your friends! Become part of this global action that is meant to unite people around the world! We want peace, and we can make a difference! Together, we will build a better, a safer and a happier world.
